Kairos Family Wealth

Counsel with conviction.
Fiduciary, by design.

Who We Are

A multi-family office built for discerning individuals and families who think in generations.

Kairos Family Wealth was founded on the conviction that founders, entrepreneurs, and ultra-high-net-worth families deserve more than product distribution dressed as advice. We operate as a registered investment advisor — fiduciary in both structure and spirit.

Specializing in the needs of founder-led company executives, entrepreneurs, and corporate executives, our work is grounded in helping clients maintain and grow their wealth through investment management, wealth planning, responsive tax planning, and capital stewardship. We also serve as a private family advisor and provide fully outsourced family office services — giving clients a single, trusted point of coordination across every dimension of their financial life.

We sit at the intersection of two emergent positions in the field: firms that emphasize values-aligned, intergenerational stewardship and firms that build technology-enabled platforms providing trusted, candid, and thoughtful advice and coordination across all external providers. Kairos is intentionally both — a relationship-led firm with an institutional-grade reporting and analytics spine.

We work with a deliberately limited number of discerning individuals and families. This is not a posture — it is a prerequisite for the depth of engagement we consider necessary to do our work well.

The Name

Kairos — the right moment, the opportune season.

In ancient Greek, time was understood in two ways. Chronos (χρόνος) is sequential, measurable time — the calendar, the clock, the quarter-end. Kairos (καιρός) is qualitative time — the right moment, the opportune season, the threshold at which a decision must be made for it to matter. The distinction was central to classical rhetoric and strategy: a skilled actor recognized when chronos was passing and kairos had arrived.

Family wealth is built and lost on kairos, not chronos. Liquidity events, generational transitions, tax-law inflection points, and life-stage decisions do not arrive on a calendar — they arrive when conditions align. The advisor’s discipline is to be ready at the moment of decision, with the governance, capital structure, and tax architecture already in place.

Three Core Values

What the firm believes.
What discerning individuals and families achieve.

i

Stewardship

Family wealth is held in trust for the generations who will follow. We serve as multi-generational stewards of capital today and prepare heirs, future trustees, and future principals to steward that capital themselves. The family that can steward its own wealth across generations is the family that has built true intergenerational independence.

ii

Discipline

Sound outcomes are the product of sound process. We bring institutional rigor to every layer of the firm — investment process, hiring cadence, cost structure, client selection — and we help discerning individuals and families develop the same discipline in their own approach to capital allocation, governance, and decision-making. Discipline becomes a family practice, not a service the family rents.

iii

Alignment

Capital that is not aligned with intent will betray the people who hold it. Our economic interests are structurally aligned with our clients’ through founder-aligned capital and fiduciary conduct. We also help each discerning individual and family align their own values, intent, and wealth goals with the outcomes their capital actually produces — so the wealth serves the life, rather than the life serving the wealth.

Three Operating Principles

How the firm operates
day to day.

01

Fiduciary First

A fiduciary is legally bound to act with the highest standard of care and loyalty — placing a client’s best interests completely ahead of their own, without using their position for personal gain. This relationship demands absolute trust, candor, and good faith. It is the foundation of everything we do.

02

Foresight

Foresight is the careful, thoughtful provision for future needs before they become urgent problems. We employ it as a systematic discipline — exploring alternatives, maximizing optionality, and spotting risks and opportunities early so that strategic decisions today are never made under pressure. We do not optimize for quarters. We plan, advise, and execute for what is coming.

03

Discernment

Discernment is the capacity to tell the difference between what appears similar — and to see past surface appearances to understand true motives and reality. We apply it at every level: reading what clients are saying and what they are not, distinguishing the right course of action from the merely convenient one, and recognizing when a moment calls for decisiveness over deliberation. Sound judgment, applied consistently, is what separates advice that endures from advice that merely satisfies.
